good bad ugly

Oh man, I'm tired... Life is just so hectic these days. Let's try categorizing them:

Good: The TV's back. 2 days after it going kaput, Dad opened it up on the dining table, used the vacuum cleaner to suck out all the dirt, and replaced the fuse wire that had blown. Some of the advantages in life when your father is a news-and-cricket-hungry electronics engineer.

My birthday was a really cool day. My cousin sister called up all the way from Salt Lake City in the US - it was so cool to talk international! Then many other calls came in, IM messages popped up all over my computer screen. Woke up in the morning with a very happy mood (this doesn't happen too often), and Mom gives me a really sweet geeky birthday card. I come back after brushing my teeth, and there's a huge chocolate cake on my table! Mom had kept it in the fridge, and I hadn't noticed! Well, I got dressed and stuff, and blew out 20 candles. It was almost like blowing out an entire bush fire in one breath. Man, I feel old. Then I had cake and Payesh for breakfast. In the evening, went to Ashish's place, and from there we went to a school reunion / Valentine's / general party. We reached "fashionably late" (that's supposedly what people call 10:30 in the night). It was fun meeting all my school friends again.

What was interesting is how the 'party' concept has changed over the years. In the 10th, it was this thing everyone was excited about and no one knew what to do when the music was playing. In the 11th and 12th, it was this thing we all looked forward to for all the mad dancing and nice times we would have. But this party was sooo different - people arrived 'fashionably late', with cellphones ringing, then roamed about chat circles, with that cocktail in their hand. (I actually had to go up to the bar and ask, can I have a glass of just *plain* orange juice please?) There was a dance floor, but it was mostly unoccupied - probably because the DJ was deaf and the windows of that room were shaking with the sound waves and all the DJ had was stupid bhangra pop and Britney Spears music.

Anyway, Ashish had a car, and we reached his place at 1:30 in the night. Ah, the freedom of being grown up. Overall Rating to Birthday: A+++, baby! Thank you God for a rocking last year, and for giving me all that I have.

Bad: Well, so I'm 20 now. I can feel it in me. The back pain. The high expectations. The old people wanting to be my age while I want to be younger. I've made what I call The Five Year Plan which basically involves three things:

Find SomeOne
Get In Shape
Do Something Big

Ambitious, right? I know. But I have five years. The problem is that I still have to start on any one of the three. Feh. I'll start tomorrow. Make that Day After™.

Also, Nilesh seems to have dissapeared. I have this theory that little green space aliens have abducted him and so that he can design their weblog for them. No seriously, this guy is like totally missing. If anyone has a clue, please tell me.

Ugly: TpT is borked. It seems Zimbu, the evil webhost monkey has upgraded PHP and used the default flags, making my site go awry.

All we've been getting in the Sales email account is Spam. It seems people have completely forgotten about our utterly nifty product, AdSystem. Dear readers, your eyes are getting heavy...
